I’m thrilled to feature Meredith Grill as this week’s Entrepreneur Crush! Recently arriving from Athens, Meredith has brought her energy, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit to Brunswick, GA and she’s already leaving her mark on the community. With a strong background in restaurant work, including co-owning a food truck business, she knows how to create experiences that bring people together in meaningful ways.

After flipping her first property just across Norwich Street, Meredith set her sights on the space now known as La Playa Park, “Brunswick’s Backyard for street eats, fun times & connecting with community.” From the moment she stepped inside, she saw the potential for a lively, welcoming gathering place in Downtown Brunswick. Today, La Playa offers an indoor bar with a vibrant atmosphere, front-yard seating perfect for sunny afternoons, and a backyard stage for live music and performances. A full kitchen and stationary food trucks serve up diverse bites, while the courtyard rotates local vendors, giving locals and visitors a taste of the Golden Isles’ growing food scene.

Meredith’s vision is visible everywhere you look. She personally painted the colorful mural on the side of the building - a playful, bold touch that reflects her personality and sets the tone for the space. Every detail, from the mix of textures to the seamless flow between indoor and outdoor areas, showcases her creativity, hands-on approach, and fearless drive to create something unique for Brunswick.

Working with her was inspiring. She’s fun, grounded, and energetic, and it’s clear she thrives on bringing people together. La Playa isn’t just a spot for drinks or food - it’s a space that radiates energy, fosters connection, and elevates Brunswick’s dining and entertainment scene in a way the area hasn’t seen before.

I felt so honored that Meredith invited me to capture the space while it was still coming together. I can’t wait for the soft launch on May 15 and to see the community experience the warmth, creativity, and energy that Meredith has poured into every corner.
